Western Star 4900’s has been built for logging for over 50 years and is one of the most proven trucks in the logging industry. The engineers build these trucks to withstand the harshest of conditions.
These logging trucks can be built with different engine options, the powerful Cummins X15 or the strong and efficient Detroit DD16. Our logging trucks are also built with copper brass radiators for maximum strength and cooling capability.
Our galvanized steel cabs have extra gussets and reinforcements, are bonded instead of riveted, precision welded and dipped with a multi-stage e-coat process for long lasting corrosion resistance. The chassis of the Western Star 4900-logging unit is built strong with an optional skid plate to protect your truck from the hazards that come with logging roads.
With a Western Star logging truck, you get one of the highest ground clearances available and our heavy-duty logging bumper protects your truck from all the hazards that come with logging. Our luxury cabs are larger than the competition and have extra insulation with double door seals to keep you comfortable in all conditions.
The first 4900’s were built in Kelowna, B.C. and were engineered for mountain logging. Building and servicing strong logging trucks is part of Western Star Trucks (North) Ltd heritage of building tough trucks for the toughest of conditions.
